"The Armenian chess team stood out among its rivals with its team spirit. They were guided by the slogan "One for all and all for one," coach of Armenian chess team Arshak Petrosyan said on Friday.

Grandmaster Vladimir Akopian says the team's victory at the Ningbo- hosted World Team Chess Championship was quite logical.

"Earlier, we had enjoyed two victories in Chess Olympiads. This time we were sure of our victory and played more confidently," said Akopian.
For his part, Petrosyan noted that the Championship 2011 was the most difficult, as it featured the strongest teams of the globe.

"The championship brought together nine best teams of the world, including Russia, Ukraine, China and it was really difficult to rival them," he said.

Armenian leading GMs Levon Aronian and Sergey Movsisyan did not participate at today's press conference. Aronian left China for Australia, while Movsisyan flew to Prague today morning to join his family.
