Attack on youth HAK activists
A group attacked HAK activists last night at around 3 a.m. near Nairi Cinema where the youth were distributing flyers for the HAK's rally. The youth say they started beating each other for 15 minutes and the people who attacked them had come out of a police car.
"There were people dressed in civil and police uniforms, but they didn't present themselves and that is why I can't say for sure who they were," HAK activist Areg Gevorgyan said.
The young HAK activists were injured and Areg Gevorgyan's shirt was ripped. The incident didn't disturb the activists from doing their job.
"We have already seen these kinds of hindrances for the past three years and this was another one. We continued to distribute flyers and will do so for the next couple of days as well," said activist Vahagn Gevorgyan.
The HAK youth members will send a message to the prosecutor's office and will appeal to a forensic medicine expert. The youth say they will fight until the end so that those who attacked them are punished.
