Armenia's champion Pyunik dropped out of the UEFA Champions League after suffering a crushing 1-5 defeat in a rematch with FC Viktoria Plzen of the Czech Republic in the second qualifying round.

The only goal for Pyunik was struck by Edgar Malakyan.
"We lost to our rival, but the most important thing in football is to provide equal conditions to teams. After the third goal the referee did not interrupt the match though one of our footballers was lying on the grass with an injury," Pyunik's chief coach Vardan Minasyan said after the game.

In Yerevan-hosted UEFA Europe League first qualifier Pyunik lost to Viktoria 0-4.
