Samvel Grigoryan wins Armenian Weightlifting Cup

Samvel Grigoryan (72kg) won the Armenian Weightlifting Cup, after raising 322 kg in snatch.

Vanik Avetisyan (70 kg) was 2nd with a total result of 309 kg, followed by Aghasi Aghasyan with 352kg.

The Armenian weightlifting team formed after the competition will leave for China in summer to participate in the summer Universiade. Armenia will be represented by five sportsmen - Aghasi Aghasyan (77kg), Aram Andrikyan (85 kg), Norair Vardanyan (94 kg), Vardan Davtyan (94 kg) and Hayk Hakobyan (+105kg). The team will be led by Pashik Alaverdyan, Secretary General of the Armenian Weightlifting Federation.
