Maradona returns to management
Football legend Diego Maradona has been appointed as head coach of Al Wasl Football Club for two years. The 50-year-old specialist has already signed a contract with the Dubai-based club.
Last week Don Diego, as Maradona is called by Argentine journalists, visited the UAE to familiarize with the sports base of Al Wasl and hold talks with the club administration.
Maradona has not managed a team since he guided Argentina to the quarter-finals of the World Cup last summer, losing his job after they were thumped 4-0 by Germany.
