Gor Minasyan wins gold atWeightlifting Championship
Weightlifting Championship in Lima, Peru, to come 3rd on the list after Russia (17 medals) and China (10 medals).
Armenia's Gor Minasyan (+94 kg) lifted a total of 379 kg in snatch, clean and jerk to become the world champion on the last day of competitions. Minasyan won three medals after lifting 174 kg in the snatch and 205 kg in clean and jerk combination.
Andranik Karapetyan (62kg) came 3rd with a combined total of 255 (120+135) kg and Mikael Mikaelyan took silver after lifting 310 (140+170) kg.
