Armenian wrestlers lost
Armenia's freestyle wrestling team didn't score a medal on the second day of the European championship.
Armenia's representative Mihran Jaburyan (55 kg weight category) won his Bulgarian opponent Radoslav Velikov in the first battle, but lost to Belarus wrestler Vladislav Andreyev in the 1/8 final.
Jirayr Hovhannisyan (66 kg weight category) lost to Russian wrestler Adam Batirov in the first stage and was left out.
Hapetnak Kurghinyan (84 kg weight category) started off well and won Belarus wrestler Alexey Isayev in the 1/16 final. Unfortunately, he lost the second battle to his Swiss opponent Marco Risen.
Ruslan Basiyev (120 kg weight category) didn't meet expectations once again. He first won Spanish wrestler Jose Cuba Vasquez and then lost to Azeri wrestler Jamaladin Magomedov.
Armenia's wrestlers ended the battles early since their opponents also suffered losses.
