Aronian beats Kramnik at Amber Chess Tournament
Armenian Grandmaster Levon Aronian defeated Russia's Vladimir Kramnik (1,5:0,5) in Round 9 of the 20th Amber Blindfold and Rapid Chess Tournament.
After nine rounds, Aronian tops the standings with 13 points, followed by Norway's Magnus Carlsen (12 points) who tied his game against India's Vishwanatan Anand (1:1).
In Round 10, Aronian will face Bulgaria's Veselin Topalov.
