Armenian women chess players Lilit Mkrtchyan and Elina Danielyan will face-off with black figures against Pia Kramling (Sweden) and Marie Sebag (France) respectively during the first round of the last, 6th stage of the FIDE Women Grand Prix, as reported by the official website of FIDE.
Let us remind that this tournament will end the play-offs for the FIDE Women Grand Prix. In total, the current world champion Hou Jifan won first place and the 2nd place chess player on the list of the Gran Prix will have the right to compete for the crown.
Nana Dzagnidze is currently doing well with 390 points, followed by Russian chess player Tatyana Kosintseva with 383.3 points and Indian chess player Hampi Koneru with 323.3 points.
Elina Danielyan scored 223.3 points, Lilit Mkrtchyan scored 213.3 points and both have the chance to compete for 2nd place.
Armenia's women chess players should strive to improve their ratings.
