Former principal not adjusting
On March 9, Judge of the RA Administrative Court Artsrun Mirzoyan will announce the verdict for the case to dismiss former principal of Special School N11 of Nubarashen Merushan Yengibaryan.
Meruzhan Yengibaryan demands acknowledging as invalid RA Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan's decree issued on 31 May 2010 for lack of confidence.
Principal Meruzhan Yengibaryan was dismissed by Armen Ashotyan's decree after former Armenian language and literature teacher Levon Avagyan was sentenced for child molestation.
Let us mention that the general jurisdiction court had sentenced the child molester to 2 years in prison, while the Court of Appeals added three more years and the Cassation Court returned the appeal.
The plaintiff's advocate Mels Manukyan demands that the court reinstate the principal's office since "the decree is wrong and doesn't emanate from the law."
In court, the defendant's advocate, Chief Expert of the Legal Department at the RA Ministry of Education and Science Lilit Vardanyan mentioned that the principal is responsible for his employees' actions, as well as the product and quality of their work.
According to her, even though the principal knew about the immoral acts, he didn't take measures. Lilit Galstyan hopes that the judge will announce a fair verdict.
