New sports stamps issued in Armenia
Starting November 26, Armenian philatelists can enrich their collections with new stamps.
Stamps dedicated to Armenian Olympic champs - weightlifter Yuri Vartanyan, boxer Vladimir Yengibaryan, discus thrower Faina Melnik - were issued in Yerevan.
Three stamps are dedicated to the Olympic Games of 2010, Junior Olympic Games and World Football Championship in SAR.
The ceremony was attended by RA Minister of Transport and Communication Manuk Vardanyan, Vice Presidents of the Armenian National Olympic Committee Razmik Stepanyan and Derenik Gabrielyan and President of the Armenian Union of Philatelists Hovik Musayelyan.
"Today is a great holiday for philatelists as sports stamps are of great demand in the world," said Hovik Musayelyan.
At the end of the ceremony, Haypost made a pleasant surprise presenting the attendees with a special album of the new stamps.
