For a healthy lifestyle
The Powerlifting Federation of Armenia, which was founded in 2009 and is an extreme power sport in Armenia, has teamed up with the Youth Party of Armenia to enlist more members, said today President of the Powerlifting Federation of Armenia Arman Movsisyan during today's press conference.
"We are trying to make this sport reach the masses in the country and include more and more youth. That is why we decided to collaborate with the Youth Party of Armenia."
As Arman Movsisyan mentioned, in the past year the Federation has held powerlifting championships in Yerevan and nationwide. Las June Armenian powerlifters took part in the European Powerlifting Championship held in Belarus and were in 2nd place.
Leader of the Youth Party of Armenia Vahan Babayan says the main reason for collaborating with the Powerlifting Federation is that it gives the party the opportunity to disseminate the idea of a healthy lifestyle to the youth more. "Unfortunately, there are currently youth groups going in dangerous directions. To eliminate them, we are trying to collaborate with all structures that support and implement the ideas of a healthy lifestyle."
