"Mika" won
Chess players of Yerevan's "Mika" club are continuing to play successfully at the European Chess Club Cup.
The men's team scored its 2nd consecutive victory after it won the Israeli "Be-er Sheva" 4.5:1.5. Levon Aronyan, who played his first match in the cup, Arman Pashikyan and Zaven Andriasyan all scored victories for "Mika" and tied the matches in the remaining three matches.
In the third round, "Mika" will compete with the Russian "St. Petersburg Chess", which the Russian "Yugra" 3.5:2.5 in the second round.
The "Mika" women's team also scored a victory in the second match and won "St. Petersburg Chess" women's team 3:1. Elina Danielyan and Lilit Mkrtchyan won the matches, while Harika Dronava and Lilit Galoyan tied their matches.
Today the Armenian female chess players will put their strengths to the test with the "Samaya" team, which also scored 4 points and is among the four leaders.
