Armenia won Turkey
The matches of the 3rd round of the World Chess Olympiad were held in the Russian city of Khanti Mansiysk.
The Armenian men's chess team destroyed the Turkish team 3.5:0.5. Levon Aronyan won Boris Yesen with the black figures on the first chessboard, Vladimir Hakobyan and Arman Pashikyan won Emre San and Mert Erdogu with the white figures respectively. Only Gabriel Sargsyan tied the match with Mustafa Ilmaz.
The Armenian team scored the third consecutive victory and is still among the leaders.
Armenia's women's team played with the Macedonian team in the 3rd round. Elina Danielyan and Lilit Mkrtchyan scored a blitz victory and were at a considerable advantage. The other two matches continue.
