Armenian judokas took two medals on the first day of the European Junior Championship going on in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Grigor Ivanyan (55 kg) took silver and Gor Harutyunyan (60 kg) bronze medals.
Ivanyan (55 kg) lost to Georgia's Otar Kaidarashvili and Harutyunyan to Russia's Yakub Shamilov

Gevorg Torosyan (66 kg) dropped out of the championship in the first round.
