Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal scored the title of champion in the U.S. open championship and became the 7th tennis player who was recognized as the "Big Helmet" in all four competitions. He has done all this at the age of 24 and became the champion of the youngest champions.
In the finals of the U.S. open championship, Rafael Nadal competed against the world's 3rd tennis player Novak Jokovich. The Spanish athlete had a hard time outscoring his competitor in the first round with 6:4 and lost to the Serb tennis player 5:7 in the second round.
It is hard to say how the tournament would proceed, if it were not postponed for two hours due to the heavy rainfall. The imposed break had a more positive impact on Rafael Nadal and he made few mistakes during the game. As a result, the player scored victories (6:4, 6:2) in the 3rd and 4th rounds and scored the title of U.S. champion for the first time.
