Maradona tenders resignation
Argentina national football team coach Diego Maradona has tendered a resignation, Ole newspaper reports. The legendary football refused to extend his contract with the team after a meeting with the President of Argentina's Football Federation Julio Grondona.
According to the newspaper, Maradona demanded to leave the team's coaches unchanged, in particular his assitant Oscar Ruggeri who had earlier demanded the resignation of Julio Grondona.
Carlos Bianchi, the former coach of Boca Juniors, is reportedly the main candidate for the vacant post.
