Former footballer of the French national team Youri Djorkaeff has expressed desire to become the chief coach of the Armenian team, French Francefootball reports.

In an interview with the French magazine, the World champion of 1998 said if the Football Federation of Armenia made him such an offer he would gladly accept it.
"My father, Jean Djorkaeff, was the chief coach of the Armenian team and I would like to assume the post," said Djorkaeff.

Youri Djorkaeff, who currently lives in the USA, played as a forward or as an attacking midfielder in France. With the French national team, Djorkaeff won the 1998 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2000.

During the interview, Djorkaeff refrained from commenting on France's fiasco during the 2010 World Cup saying he had little information on the team.
