Kentikian-Mucino bout declared No-Contest
WIBF/WBA/WBO flyweight champion Susi Kentikian retained her title when her flight against Arely Munico was declared No-Contest after Kentikian suffered a cut on her scalp after a clash of heads at the Sport and Congress Center, Schwerin.
After the serious injury, the referee was forced to stop the flight in round three with a technical draw.
Commenting on the fight Susi said, "Everything took place in an instant and I could not escape the blow. I am deeply disappointed as I had been preparing for the match for a long time and had thoroughly studied my rival's boxing style."
According to German media, Kentikian is looking for a possible rematch with Nadia Raoui, after a controversial win over Raoui, last April when, two of three judges gave her a victory over Nadia Raoui, a decision that did not go down well with viewers.
