Food poisoning continues in Armenia

Six cases of botulism have been recorded in Armenia since January compared with the 14 cases of 2009.

According to the Ministry of Health, food poisoning continues in the republic with most cases reported in the marzes of Kotayk, Tavush, Shirak, Aragatsotn, Vayots Dzor and Armavir.

In the majority of cases, food poisoning was caused by eating canned vegetables - pepper, cucumber, pickle and aubergine, and mushrooms

Two cases of staphylococcal food poisoning were reported in Lori and Shirak in the same period of 2010.
