World Youth Boxing Championship started today in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku. Armenian boxer Karen Tonakanyan (57 kg) dropped out of the championship after losing to Henry Thomas of England.

Three other Armenian boxers are expected to compete today. Koryun Soghomonyan (48kg), Hovhannes Baxhkov (54 kg) and Hrayr Matevosyan (60 kg) will face Nurbek Ablagov (Kyrgyzstan), Edgaras Skurdelis (Lithuania), and Juan Carrasco( Argentina) respectively.
