Subway Blasts Kill Dozens in Moscow

Two tremendous blasts rocked Moscow's Lubyanka and Park Kultury metro stations today morning.

The first blast occurred at 7:56 a.m. in Lubyanka metro station killing 23 people and wounding 18 others.

The dynamite placed in the second car exploded after the train stopped at the station.

An hour later, at 8:40 a.m. the second blast was reported in Park Kultury metro station leaving 14 killed and 7 injured.


Rescue, fire and emergency services are working on the site.
The number of fatalities is being clarified.

According to Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations the blasts are blamed on suicide bombers.

Investigation is in progress.

According to preliminary data, an Armenian, Hasmik Martirosyan, aged 18, was injured during the blast.

The explosions killed at least 37 and wounded more than 102 people.
