Levon Aronian ties with Vugar Gashimov
Armenian Grand Master Levon Aronian faced Azerbaijani Vugar Gashimov in the fourth round of the Linares Chess Super Tournament. At the beginning of the game, the Azerbaijani player tried to catch his Armenian rival unawares but Levon Aronian was able to guess his intention and counterattack immediately. Unable to resist Aronian's pressing, Vugar Gashimov had to tie the game.
The games Gelfand-Topalov and Grischuk-Valejo also ended in a draw.
