Hripsime Khurshudyan wins bronze
2007 European Champion, silver medalist of 2009 European Championship Hripsime Khurshudyan (w/c 75) won bronze at the World Weightlifting Championships in Goyang, South Korea.
She won two bronze medals for lifting 120 kg in the snatch and 147 kg in the clean and jerk and one bronze medal for snatch, clean and jerk combination.
Kazakhstan's Svetlana Pobedova won the champion title, lifting 132 kg in the snatch and 160 kg in the clean and jerk. She set new records with a 292 kg combination 132+160. Lei Chao (China) took silver with a result of 269 kg (120+149).
In all, Armenia won 12 medals - 3 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze. Armenia ranks third with team results yielding to China and Kazakhstan.
