Armenia lost to Russia
Armenian men chess team lost to Russia 1,5:2,5 in the 8th round of European Chess Team Championship in Novi Sad, Serbia.
Levon Aronian, Gabriel Sargsian and Tigran Levonian played a draw while Vladimir Hakobian lost the game. As a result, the Armenian team drew back to the 4th position.
After the eight rounds, Russia and Azerbaijan top the standings ( 13 points) followed by Ukarine, Armenia, Holland, Spain and Israel with 5 points.
Armenian women chess players will face Russia in the 9th round. Presently, the team ranks the 3rd with 11 points and yields to Russia and Georgia having 14 points.
