Assassination attempt
The criminal case brought up for the assault against journalist-advocate Argishti Kiviryan has been re-qualified under Article 34-104, 2nd part, 7th point of the Criminal Code (Assassination attempt by a group of people), as reported by the press center of the National Security Service.
The case examination was transferred to the investigative department of the NAS on May 7 and until then, the police had instigated a criminal case under Article 117 of the Criminal Code (Light physical injuries on purpose).
Let us remind that Kiviryan was assaulted by three anonymous people on the morning of April 30. Gunshots were fired, but the capsules of the bullets fired by the criminals disappeared from the scene in suspicious circumstances.
