45 LAND OWNERS STILL COMPLAINING

Social

Police officers prohibited residents of Northern and Main Avenues today from holding their next protest in front of the government building. They were forced to stand near the fountains at Republic Square and started whistling and screaming “Prime Minister”.

The residents of the alienation zone who have been fighting for their violated property rights for over four years submitted another letter to the prime minister today.

“How do you put up with the crimes of government official Yervand Zakharyan? Is it that hard to notice the robbery taking place day after day? Can’t you hear our voice? Is it worth waiting to hear our voice heard at the podiums of the European Court? After all, each case that reaches the European Court throws Armenia’s reputation down,” as stated in their letter.

Attached to the letter of the 45 residents are facts presented by head of the “Victims of State Needs” NGO Sedrak Baghdasaryan stating how Yervand Zakharyan compensated 900 dollars for one square meter of land of one resident and 200 dollars to another.

There were other protests taking place in front of the government building today. Police officers gathered in front of the government building allowed the parents of the three dead soldiers to organize the demonstration.

This is not the first time that they are coming to the building to have their voices heard. They inform government officials that the preliminary investigation and the trail are taking place with violations and they demand a fair trial.

“We have submitted letters everywhere possible and we will continue to do so, but we don’t know where to go next. We will fight until everything is clear,” told “A1+” Robert Mirzoyan whose son was executed in the army for not wearing a belt.
