Support A1+!Mher Michaelyan, chief coach of the Armenian women’s national team, who also trained 17-19 national team and “College” club, has resigned.
In the interview with “A1+” Michaelyan mentioned that the reason for his resignation was the latest failures of the national team. Michaelyan also noted that the national team was already a good team. “We have already had successes with the national team and the next coach will have a well-trained team. The same I can say about the national team of 19-years-old”.
About 60 women football players play today in Armenia. Last year the Armenian national team played successfully, defeating the national team of Lithuania during the European Championship.
It has not been decided who will train the women’s national team. Chairman of “College” club Hrachya Grigoryan says that the Armenian Football Federation should make the decision. “The executive director of the Federation is returning tomorrow and we’ll discuss this issue”.
