ARMENIA STRUGGLES AGAINST BIRD FLU
Support A1+!Today vaccinations against bird flu are made in Armenia. The main part of the vaccines will be rendered to the 7 years old children. Chief sanitary inspector Artyom Vardanyan explains this by the fact that the Ministry of Health pays special attention to school-age children as regards anti-epidemic
Besides, the amount of vaccines got is limited but the sanitary inspector assures that a certain quantity will be acquired if necessary. As it turned out, it's a vaccine against ordinary flu: two viruses mustn’t be mixed in one’s organism. As there is no bird flu vaccine yet, doctors decided to insure against ordinary flu. By the way, Russia announced yesterday that is ready to render to Turkey a newly-discovered preparation against bird flu. Armenia is not going to turn to Russia to get the preparation. As Mr. Vardanyan noted «Tamiflu» is the only confirmed preparation and Armenia will continue to use it.
By the way, vaccinations are made only in those places of Armenia where birds will migrate.
Today the RA sanitary inspector mentioned once again that there are no bird flu cases registered in Armenia.
