PATRIOTIC BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION INTENDS TO SUE AZERBAIJAN

Patriotic Benevolent Association Shahumyan-Getashen intends to sue Azerbaijan in European court on behalf of 10,000 families driven from their homes in the territories occupied by Azerbaijan.

The Association is now preparing due paperwork to file the suit and will demand a 50,000-dollar compensation for each family.

The Association members asked Armenian Foreign Ministry to join them to attach official status to the suit, but so far no response has been received from the ministry.

The plaintiffs think return suit from Azeri side will be filed after that.
