Support A1+!At today’s briefing, the head of Water Economy State Committee Gagik Martirosyan advised people not to stop water counters, as water flow is controlled and fixed with various water-measuring devices and, in the event of difference found, offenders will be track down and brought to justice.
Martirossyan said after installing water-counters, expenses of consumers reduced at list twice. He said 259 of Yerevan’s 274 families have signed a contract on water-counters against their debt remittance. Others are left with no option but to pay the debt.
The head of the Committee also said wide range of preparatory works for transition to round-the-clock water supply, such as replacement of dilapidated pipeline with a new one, is to be carried out in 2003.
Within a year, a number of Yerevan districts are to enjoy water supply 24 hour a day. Then other districts will gradually join them.
