SOCIAL CARDS ARE FORCED AT SCHOOLS

Kachik Stambultyan called the implementation of social cards “forced collectivization” and compared it to the mass repressions of 1937. Today, during the meeting of “Nor Hayastan” NGO Kachik Stambultyan expressed his concern with the fact that social services are giving out social cards by force even to the pupils at schools while none of them had presented an enquiry to receive one. Notwithstanding the statement of the seminar organizer Eleonora Manandyan noted that she had invited all parties and groups of the National Assembly of Armenia, but the only participants were the representative of “Orinats Erkir” Artak Arakelyan and Vahan Hovhannisyan the representative of “Dashnak” party. Today Khachik Stambultyan made an announcement that a group of true believers has collected signatures of parliamentarians in order to appeal to the Constitutional Court and find out if the laws on “social cards” and “personal data” concord with the Constitution of RA.
“The head of the National Assembly Arthur Baghdasaryan announced to the media that the ‘Orinats Erkir’ party was going to sign the document but then broke his promise,” – complained Mr. Stambultyan. According to him they have collected 25 signatures out of 44; only 6 out of 21 “Orinats Erkir” party members signed the document. RAF party members Armen Rustamyan and Levon Mkrtchyan did not keep their promise to sign the appeal.
Khachik Stambultyan was concerned by the fact that sects like “Jehovah Witnesses” and members of “The Church of Latter Day Saints” (Mormons) did not refuse to adopt social cards while government representatives and politicians offend the true believers of the Armenian Apostolic Church who refuse the “Stigma of Evil” by calling them sectarians.
