SAAKYAN VIEWS CONCERN OVER ATKINSON’S REPORT AS PREMATURE
Support A1+!On Thursday, leader of governing Republican Party and MP Galust Saakyan, speaking at a news conference on Karabakh conflict settlement latest developments and referring to Atkinson’s notorious report over the matter due to be discussed at PACE winter session, said there is no need to scare people by speaking about possible war on the eve of Christmas.
In his opinion there is still no reason for concern.
He thinks Armenia should meet international organizations’ and different countries’ representatives ahead of the PACE winter session to prevent “these political games from affecting us”.
Asked does he share the opinion of Levon Mkrtchyan, representative of Dashnaktsuthun, ruling coalition’s another member party, who has said it would be better not to attend the PACE upcoming session, Saakyan said “we are in favor of civilized processes”.
