Tovmassyan said it is hard to list all Armenia’s achievements of Soviet epoch, though mentioned some of them saying industrial products were being exported from Armenia to 155 countries, people were being provided with free apartments and free education while now price for 1 cubic meter rose to 1,000 USD.
Communist Tovmassyan thinks the Soviet Union has been collapsed because of treason in pinnacle of the state leadership. He said, Gorbachev, Yakovlev and Shevardnadze betrayed the superpower.
Disastrous consequences of the country collapse are seen now: everything built then is being destroyed.
Everybody has already come to sad realization of what had been lost.
“Look what is going on in Ukraine or Abkhazia. No such kind of issues could emerge in Soviet years”, he said.
