Politics

Organizing Committee established of Internet services for transferring sound data held a discussion in Cinema House. Employees of services and MPs were present.

Org Committee Chairman Artyom Khachatryan used “ArmenTel- Monster” phrase, and blamed the Executive Power and President for its actions. “On the one hand, they say “Let’s work together!”, on the other – only they want to work”, he described the decision on granting the exclusive monopoly for IP services to “ArmenTel” JV.

”Why was Government afraid to say that the case was lost in London Arbitrage? They couldn’t keep their word. The voiceless years passed. We will fight for our rights up to the end. We won’t become emigrants. People support us”, he also said.

Org Committee member Mushegh Militonyan introduced chronology of the actions held by those rendering IP services, in particular, the fact that Parliament Speaker Arthur Baghdasaryan has today received representatives of a few companies. According to Militonyan, Speaker called upon the young businessmen to unite in order that he should support the struggle of potentially unemployed people.

It is to state that nothing is said about supporting them in the official release about the meeting. It was just mentioned there that hearings will be held.

”Land of Law” Party member Artak Araqelyan was present for the discussion. “This country can’t be the property of anyone”, Araqelyan said. “If we consider that there are 9-10 million Armenians all over the world, 7-8 million of them are abroad and cheap telephone communication with them is provided”, he also reminded the participants.

MPs Arshak Sadoyan and Manuk Gasparyan as well made speeches. Sadoyan said that it’s a bluff to intimidate with London Arbitrage since the decisions of the instance are of advisory character and they can also be unacceptable for Government.

Independent MP Manuk Gasparyan persuaded to hold meetings with 2 or 3 thousands of people and to block Government entries so that Ministers can not go home at night. He assured everyone he will be beside the young people in case of the stubborn struggle of them. MP stressed he will partake in fighting as a rank-and-file member and not as a leader.

The issue of the leader and the strategy of the new movement are left to make more accurate. Probably, new discussions will be conducted for that purpose. On November 17
