Support A1+!6 bills, 32 issues and 4 international agreements were entered on the Parliament agenda on November 8-10. The issue on noting nationality of Armenian citizens in documents was discussed during the first half.
Justice Deputy Minister Tigran Mukuchyan is famous for his view saying each person must himself decide his nationality.
As a proof of his words, Deputy Minister states that under the Government decision in 1998 citizens can add their nationality in the passports in case of wish. But why hasn’t anyone put in such an application until now?
Rafik Petrosyan, Chair of Parliament Commission on State and Legal Issues, has conducted a small survey and found – majority of Armenian citizens is for that nationality is mentioned in birth-certificates of children.
