In 2005 construction of the new road connecting Tbilisi with Akhalqalaq will start. It is not known yet where from the sums will be obtained. World Bank will allocate a part.

According to Georgian President, negotiations are carried on with the donor organizations. Sahakashvili announced that the road must be built within 2 years so that Javakhq population may have free access to the Georgian markets.

”Our citizens residing in Javakhq are talented and hard-working. We want them to work in Georgia and be involved in various regional programs”, Mikhail Sahakashvili said expressing alarm for emigration in Javakhq.
