PETER SCHIEDER KNEW NOTHING ABOUT FACT OF PUBLISHING YASKERNIA’S BOOK IN ARMENIA

Before his today’s news conference, PACE chair Peter Schieder wasn’t aware of the fact that PACE Reporter on Armenia Yerzi Yaskernia was solving his private problems while fulfilling his mission in Armenia.

Yaskernia’s book funded by Armenian National Assembly about the CE was published in Armenia at a time of the PACE-held monitoring in Armenia.

Liberty radio station correspondent asked Schieder if there was any precedent for such a case when a reporter publishes his book in a country that is the subject of his monitoring.

Schieder said he didn’t know the book was published in Armenian.
