MPS IN OPPOSITION WON’T BE PUNISHED
Support A1+!Before the autumn opening of Parliament session Parliament Speaker Arthur Baghdasaryan held a press conference and announced that the issue over unseating MPs in Opposition won’t be discussed this week. Parliament Speaker is against unseating MPs in general.
According to Mr. Baghdasaryan, the problem is to be settled in a political way. He thinks one must not forget the legal aspect of the boycott, and suggested making a change to the Regulation-Law of Parliament, which will clarify the reasonable terms and methods of boycott. ”MPs have no right to partake in Parliament sittings whenever they want”, he says.
Arthur Baghdasaryan introduced the issues that will be discussed in this session period. They are divided into 3 groups – the issue of the legislative changes over the implementation of the commitments towards European Parliament, approval of legislative bills of public and social importance and discussion of political issues like the new Electoral Code and the constitutional reforms, including the issue on conducting the Constitutional Referendum.
