OSCANYAN: ARMENIA’S STANCE ON NAGORNO KARABAKH REMAINS UNCHANGED

Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan gave a news conference Monday upon returning from Strasbourg, where he attended the CE Ministerial Council’s session and met with his Azeri counterpart Eldar Mamedyarov.

He said the next meeting with Mamedyarow is planned to be held in Prague on June 20.

Oskanyan also said President Kocharyan couldn’t attend NATO summit in Istanbul because of current relations between Turkey and Armenia. That’s why the only Armenian representative at the summit will be Vardan Oskanyan.

Armenian official stance on Karabakh issue isn’t changed: the essence of the issue is Nagorno-Karabakh Republic’s status, Oskanyan said.
