PARLIAMENT SITTING STARTED
Support A1+!Parliament sitting has started today with 90 MPs. Independent MPs Manuk Gasparyan, Emma Khudabashyan and Sasun Michaelyan were present. Some issues discussed last week were put to voting and were passed at the second stage. Armenian Justice Minister David Harutyunyan introduced the bill on “Holding Meetings, Rallies and Marches”.
It is to remind that a few days ago Natalia Vutova, Special Envoy of CE Secretary General in Armenia, expressed a strict stance over the same bill.
In response to it Justice Minister has today stated that Vutova’s standpoint was based on the conclusion over the first version of the bill. Besides, she thinks there is no need to have such a law in a state.
But David Harutyunyan contends that it is necessary for Armenia to have the above law.
