Parliament has today heard 2004’ program of Culture and Youth Ministry.

Culture Minister Tamara Poghosyan apologized for introducing the program with delay. She said especially monuments need to be protected. Italy Government has allotted a grant of $ 25.000 for that purpose.

Those making speeches underlined protection of cultural values. Vahan Hovhannissyan referred to price rise of tickets for performances in theatres as a result of collection of value added tax. He said it might lead to that theatres will stop being a profitable sphere and no one will wish to get occupied with theatre activity.

2004 program of Culture and Youth Sport Ministry will be voted over tomorrow.
