-How would you comment on that Government “detaches” Ministers to the districts after you?

I consider the political situation as pre-election. There are all the attributes of state political science of the pre-election period in the political field. Who said that only the parties in Opposition are to partake in the campaign and the pro-governmental ones not? Each of those parties tries to fix its role in that campaign, separating from Robert Kocharyan through that.

-In other words, Government goes to districts not to protect Robert Kocharyan, doesn’t it?

-Of course, not. Government is coalition. It made the attempt to visit districts jointly. But it was a shameful defeat in Garni where just 50 people gathered. All they did nothing but blaming Government. I assure you if it is made public that I go to any district a few hundred people will gather at least. It was just scorn in case of Government.

-Will Coalition display a stance in opposition during visits to the districts?

-In this stage Coalition won’t show an oppositional position to Kocharyan. Each party of Coalition will try to prove to be the best singly.

-Recalling the situation during the elections in 2003, don’t you think that people face risk?

- I don’t think that people were endangered in 2003 February and March. I’m not a carpet-bagger. Maybe conflict is playing into the hands of Authorities. But it doesn’t serve my purposes. That’s my country and I won’t lead my people to collision. Both the 20th and 21st centuries proved that democratic revolutions are bloodless ones. As to facing risk I think that we lose more if not substituting Kocharyan than rebelling against the illegal Authorities. I am sure that no conflict will occur. No one will perform the order of Kocharyan. What danger do you speak about? It’s just a rumor to frighten people.

-Don’t you consider the fact that we stepped into spring with Serj Sargssyan and Robert Kocharyan the political failure of Artashes Geghamyan?

-Why Artashes Geghamyan’s? I consider it as my failure. Even one more day Robert Kocharyan is in our country is my failure.
