Support A1+!”The amendments suggested to the Law on “Military Service” aim at bribe redistribution in favor of Defense Ministry“, “Justice” Bloc member Shavarsh Kocharyan says.
He in details introduced the amendments, which have been made to the Law on “Military Service” since 2000 by offer of Galust Sahakyan, Vahan Hovhannissyan and Sergey Eritsyan.
The changes planned totally contradict those made from 2000 to 2003. But this time the same Coalition members welcome the project for amendments.
Shavarsh Kocharyan finds difficulty in explaining such change of stances. We asked whether it was possible that after approval of the Law on “Alternative Service” Government fears that the necessary levy can’t be provided, so they decided to call up the post-graduates, too. ”It may well be that Government really apprehends it. But if 2000 people are levied this time, number will reduce next year. Call up problem can’t be solved this way. We will lose in demographic aspect”, Kocharyan answered.
”Maybe Government fears for war?”, we asked. Kocharyan didn’t exclude it but said that the male part of the society is mobilized in that case. He announced that Azerbaijan aims to progress economically and to consolidate army.
So the solution to the conflict is dragged out. Armenia can get strengthened only scientifically and technically. But authorities want to call up scientists thus cutting off the “wings” of science. ”Only an enemy can act so”, Shavarsh Kocharyan concluded.
