Commenting on the night arrests Shavarsh Kocharyan said: ”Authorities don’t get on and always take such stupid steps. A thing like happened in Byureghavan when a member of Peoples’ Party of Armenia was arrested for holding a meeting with some members of Parliament”.

Shavarsh Kocharyan announced that the incidents of last year recur. He also remembered the strict appraisals in the paper of PACE. ”Assembly is shocked at the arrests which were committed during the presidential elections. The explanatory part says the arrests were made in the spirit of Stalin period. No stringent assessment like this has been in any other document of CE regarding any state”.
