MIDDLE EAST PROBLEMS PEACEFUL SOLUTION UNLIKELY AMID CURD PEOPLE’S GROWING ANGER
Support A1+!Curd Community in Armenia released a statement on Friday. In a clear violation of international law and human rights and as a result of international conspiracy Curd people’s leader Abdullah Ojalan has been captured and handed over to Turkish authorities, the statement says.
Today, the Curd Community representatives held a news conference in support of their national leader who remains kept in solitary confinement in a Turkish jail.
They said speaking at the news conference that Ojalan’s health state is deteriorating because of inhuman conditions, in which he is kept.
Curd Democratic Council’s Chair Heydar Ali said peace process in the Middle East would face serious problems as long as Turkey keeps pursuing its Curds extermination policy and their leader remains jailed.
Curd movement activists said they would be reluctant to resort to military actions if their demands remain unfulfilled by coming spring.
It should be reminded that the same threat was voiced by Kadek organisation yet in summer but no steps had been taken since then.
Answering a journalist question about why they haven’t resorted to force till now, Heydar Ali said because some signs of capability to solve thorny problems in peaceful way is still seen in Turkish government.
After the news conference Curds marched along Yerevan streets in support of their leader.
