“GREAT BRITAIN DOESN’T MEDDLE IN KARABAKHI CONFLICT SETTLEMENT PROCESS”
Support A1+!If the parts reach at any agreement over Karabakhi conflict settlement, Great Britain will support that. But the United Kingdom isn’t going to meddle in the processes. British Ambassador to Armenia Thorda Ebbot Watt commented on Great Britain stance this way at the press conference on her 1-year long mission in Armenia.
According to her, they support intensification of regional collaboration and integration processes in the Southern Caucasus.
Referring to failure of the Armenian officers to partake in NATO conference in Baku, she said: ”I am sorry for it”.
By her words, Armenia holds pro-Western policy aiming to become a EU member, and they welcome that purpose.
In 2004 Thorda Ebbot Watt is going to more actively work in Armenia, particularly to more frequently meet Opposition and Government members.
Though Armenia has fixed an economical growth, the high level of poverty remains the same, Ambassador said. She appraised positively Government policy on poverty reduction and corruption prevention.
