ELECTIONS IN RUSSIA IN THE EYES OF OUR OBSERVERS
Support A1+!The members of Central Election Committee have today told the journalists at the special sitting their impressions over the parliamentary elections in Russia. Atom Mkhitaryan made a speech at the sitting, who watched the elections as an OSCE observer.
According to him, on the day of election he managed to visit more than 10 polling stations with his Irish colleague. There were some election breach, in the pre-election period in particular, but the elections passed freely and justly, in due course on the whole. No observer fixed vote fraud on purpose, OSCE member said.
CEC members who were present for the elections as observers added that all the conditions for that had been prepared.
Observers were surprised that they had seen no placards on the walls and buildings in favor of the candidates. Campaign was conducted mainly in press and on TV.
In comparison with Armenia those having voted “against all” made a high rate in Russia.
