Leader of Armenian Union for Self-Determination Paruyr Hayrikyan said a list of the Soviet-era KGB undercover agents’ names.
Constitutional Right party leader Grant Khachatryan said the agents are being recruited from the worst part of people and noted that such a sort of people constitutes the bulk of “Karabakh” committee.
Political analyst Hmayak Hovhannisyan thinks otherwise. In his opinion Armenian authorities treat former agents badly. “This is an organism that, as a rule, doesn’t decompose even in the course of revolution. New authorities should use their experience instead of expelling them from the system”, he said and added that they can be lured by outside forces. Names of those persons possessing important information and attracting foreign special services’ interest can be made public, Hovhannisyan said. And what about those are currently on state service, their names must not be revealed.
