113TH SESSION OF CE MINISTERS COMMITTEE WAS OVER

On November 6 the 113th session of Ministers Committee of Council of Europe was over in Kishinev. Armenian Foreign Affairs Minister Vardan Oskanyan partook in it, too. The subject of the session was Council of Europe-European Union Collaboration.

In his speech Minister Oskanyan has referred to Karabakhi conflict. ”In Transcaucasia Armenia and its neighbors live under unsolved conflicts. It is obvious that Armenia participates in the efforts channeled to regional cooperation and usage of the means for consolidation of trust to establish an environment where the European approaches will be acceptable for yet unresolved conflicts.

In the framework of the 113th session of Ministers Committee of Council of Europe Minister Oskanyan met his Irish colleague Brian Kowen. Ireland will chair EU beginning from 2004 January.

Both Ministers discussed issues regarding bilateral relations, Armenia-EU relations, Armenia-Turkey relations, Karabakhi conflict, and the role EU may have in stimulating regional collaboration.
